In a recent study published by the US National Library of Medicine. It was revealed that integrated approach of yoga therapy (IAYT) had shown beneficial effects in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM).  

Assessments were made on day 1 (before yoga) and day 7 (after 1-week of yoga practice). It is found that there was a significant reduction in fasting plasma glucose from 154.67–130.27 mg/dL

So the study proved that yoga really helps to fight against diabetes.

In another research where it is found that of people diagnosed with paroxysmal arterial fibrillation suggests yoga can help reduce not only the stress associated with the condition, but also patients’ high blood pressure and heart rate.

In fact, participants who practiced yoga for a 12-week period measured “significantly lower”on heart rate and blood pressure compared to participants who did not.
